Evidence-based testosterone assessment and TRT management through bulk-billed telehealth.
TRT GP Australia was founded with a singular mission: to make evidence-based testosterone assessment and TRT management accessible and affordable for every Australian man through bulk-billed telehealth. We believe that cost, geography and stigma should never be barriers to receiving quality medical care for hormone health.
38% of men over 45 experience symptoms of low testosterone, yet accessing quality GP care for hormone assessment remains frustratingly difficult. Endocrinologist wait times exceed 3–6 months in most Australian states. Many GPs lack the confidence to interpret testosterone panels beyond basic total testosterone, leaving men with suboptimal levels undiagnosed and untreated. TRT GP Australia addresses these gaps by providing timely, evidence-based access to GPs who understand men's hormone health.
We take a GP-led, evidence-based approach to testosterone management. Our GPs review both total and free testosterone alongside symptom burden — not just a single number in isolation. We consider SHBG levels, symptoms of deficiency, and relevant metabolic markers before making any clinical recommendations. We never prescribe testosterone without adequate blood test evidence of deficiency, and we monitor haematocrit, PSA and oestradiol throughout treatment.
Our GPs are fully registered with AHPRA and hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or equivalent qualifications. Each GP in our team has specific training and experience in men's health, hormone management and telehealth prescribing. Full GP profiles — including qualifications, areas of interest and professional backgrounds — are added to this page as our GP team grows.
Testosterone is a Schedule 4 prescription-only medication in Australia. TRT GP Australia only prescribes TGA-approved testosterone formulations following thorough clinical assessment. All of our GPs are registered with AHPRA and practice in full compliance with RACGP guidelines for telehealth consultations and hormone prescribing. Patient data is stored securely in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Telehealth has been a permanent feature of Australia's healthcare landscape since the COVID-19 pandemic. For testosterone assessment, pathology review, dose adjustment and ongoing monitoring, telehealth delivers equivalent clinical outcomes to in-person visits. Our platform uses end-to-end encrypted video technology, and all consultations follow the same clinical standards as in-person GP appointments. Where a patient's clinical needs require in-person assessment, our GPs will always advise accordingly.
